5th Annual Pack-a-Trolley event benefiting children in foster care

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Comfort Cases held their Fifth Annual Pack-a-Trolley event on Friday, which helps benefit children in foster care.

Comfort Cases is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to provide hope and dignity to youth in foster care.

When children enter into foster care, the non-profit said they are normally forced to move house to house with all of their personal belongings into a trash bag.

They want to replace the old practice of using a trash bag, and provide children a backpack or duffel bag to take with them.

At the event, people donated personal care items like pajamas, toiletries, hygiene kits, and blankets, along with other fun items like toys, books, stuffed animals and more.

Each backpack was stuffed to the brim with items for the children so they not only had a new bag to carry their belongings, but also new items to help ease the transition on them.

Jared Laws from American Limousines, the provider of this years trolley said, “It means a lot for us to do this and to give back, especially in the holiday season.”
