Comfort Cases–Chowan University Scholarship

Comfort Cases is proud to partner with Chowan University to expand access to higher education for students with lived foster care experience. Through this partnership, Comfort Cases Hope Scholars who choose to attend Chowan University will receive meaningful financial support and a welcoming campus community committed to student success.

About the Scholarship

The Comfort Cases–Chowan University Scholarship is available to all students who apply for the Comfort Cases Scholarship and are admitted to Chowan University.

Scholarship Details:

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per year
Renewability: Renewable for up to four years (up to $40,000 total)
Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at Chowan University

Number of Awards: Unlimited — every eligible Comfort Cases Hope Scholar admitted to Chowan University will receive this scholarship

Students are eligible if they:

Apply through the Comfort Cases Scholarship Program
Are accepted for admission to Chowan University
Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student

Renewal Requirements

To maintain eligibility for the scholarship each year, students must:

Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Complete the FAFSA and all required financial aid documentation
Submit all required materials by August 1 each year

Failure to meet these requirements may result in the loss of scholarship eligibility.
