Donation Drive hosted by CNN’s Laura Coates
In honor of National Adoption Awareness Month, the “Coats of Comfort” campaign ran from November 1st to November 23rd, 2024. This initiative brought together individuals and organizations to provide warmth and dignity to children in foster care by donating new or gently used coats.

- Original Goal: 300 coats
- Total Coats Donated: Over 1,000 coats!
- Corporate Contribution: 300 coats generously donated by Elevance Health
About CNN’s Laura Coates
Laura Coates is a CNN Anchor and Chief Legal Analyst, SiriusXM Talk Show Host. A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Laura graduated from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the University of Minnesota Law School before beginning her legal career in private practice.
