Comfort Cases could not be prouder to announce that our Co-Founder, Rob Scheer, has won the 2022 Casey Excellence for Children Award. Rob is recognized for his work as a Resource Parent for parents navigating adoption from the foster care system, as well as his lifelong devotion to the cause of restoring dignity and hope to children in foster care. Through Comfort Cases and his other tireless efforts, Rob has positively impacted the lives of over 150,000 children in the foster care system.

The Casey Excellence for Children awards are a national recognition of the accomplishments of remarkable individuals, especially those with lived experience in the child welfare system, who are working to safely reduce the need for foster care and build Communities of Hope. The awards recognize those who have demonstrated outstanding work, exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to improving child and family well-being in the United States. This year, as the country continues to deal with the effects of COVID-19 while also confronting the realities of systemic racism and inequity, the foundation honored a few of the hard-working people who have stepped up to the challenges in their communities with relentless dedication.
